DHV Meeting in Leipzig

I visited the annual meeting of the DHV. It took place in Leipzig. After the 6 hours trip with jam on the Autobahn we arrived Leipzig on friday evening. We attended the meeting of the club managers. After that we went to the mdr-Panorama-tower with a nice view over the citylights and Auerbachs Keller (known form Goethe´s Faust). Unfortunately I forgot my camera in the hotel.

On saturday morning we visited the inner city with the christmas market (with delicious Bratwurst, Glühwein), the beautiful architecture. At the Nikolaikirche we listend to an astonishing speech of one, who told the story of liberation movement 20 years ago, which startet here. History becomes vivid. They prayed and hold candles without violence. It was the beginning of the end of the DDR.

Later the DHV meeting started. It was a unspectular but interesting Meeting (in contrary to earlier meetings). Many friends were there. The party after was also unspectular, in particular due to the DJ with curious music. Whatever it was o.k.

Sunday there was the day of the athletes with miscellaneous award ceremonies. We drove home. Benno (Osowski) attended us.
